NCS color system
The Natural Color System, or 'NCS' for short, is a color system issued by NCS Colour in Stockholm. The color system is based on the way humans perceive color. In the color experience of the human eye, 4 elementary colors play an important role: red, yellow, green and blue.
The NCS color system is used as a standard in various industries, for example by architects, designers and manufacturers.

The NCS color system uses a unique notation for the color codes, for example 0580-Y10R for a yellow color. NCS codes consist of the following parts: the degree of blackness, the chromaticness and the hue. NCS is used by many paint manufacturers, including Histor and Sigma.
